Circular energy infrastructure

Second-life energy storage, built for real-world deployment

NATAN Energy is developing second-life battery energy storage projects designed to turn retired EV batteries into productive grid-scale assets.

We are building toward an initial 20MWh / 4h standalone front-of-the-meter pilot, while laying the foundation for future storage projects in Israel and the Middle East.

Built for partners, investors, and project collaborators

  • Second-life battery storage platform development
  • 20MWh / 4h pilot pathway
  • Regional focus on Israel and the Middle East
  • Commercial discipline with circular impact

Building practical circular energy infrastructure

NATAN Energy was founded around a clear opportunity: combining the growing availability of used EV batteries with the rising need for energy storage, strong project development, and long-term commercial execution.

Our approach is to build serious project capability from the start - combining project development, partnerships, regulatory pathway work, and commercial structure - to help bring second-life storage into viable real-world deployment.

A first pilot, and a long-term platform

Our initial objective is to advance a 20MWh / 4h standalone front-of-the-meter BESS pilot based on second-life EV batteries.

Beyond the pilot, our broader vision is to establish the capabilities, partnerships, and execution model required for additional second-life energy storage projects across Israel and the wider region.

Why second-life matters

Second-life battery storage can create value on multiple fronts:

  • Extending the useful life of EV batteries
  • Reducing waste and supporting a circular economy
  • Lowering material intensity in selected use cases
  • Creating additional value before final recycling
  • Opening a path to cost-effective storage where technical and commercial conditions align

NATAN Energy is focused on translating that potential into bankable, execution-oriented projects.

Environmental logic with project discipline

By extending the service life of EV batteries before final recycling, second-life storage can help reduce waste, extract more value from existing battery materials, and support a more resource-efficient energy system.

For NATAN Energy, environmental impact is not a branding layer - it is part of the project logic.

Project Development - Idea to action

We are building NATAN Energy to be a credible platform for:

  • Renewable energy project development
  • Strategic partnerships
  • Battery sourcing relationships
  • Regulatory and commercial structuring
  • Long-term execution in second-life storage

We aim to combine ambition with discipline: moving early, but doing the hard work needed to make projects real.
