EV grade batteries for stationary energy storage

NATAN Energy develops and integrates battery energy storage systems (BESS) by repurposing robust, durable EV batteries that no longer meet electric vehicle range requirements into productive grid-scale assets.

We are building toward an initial 20MWh / 4h standalone front-of-the-meter pilot, while laying the foundation for future storage projects in Israel and the Middle East.

Repurposing EV-grade batteries for scalable energy storage

NATAN Energy was founded around a clear opportunity: to combine the growing availability of used EV batteries - still retaining about 80% of their capacity - with the increasing demand for energy storage. By giving these batteries a second life, we are helping meet global storage needs through strong project development and long-term commercial execution.

Our approach is to build project capability from the ground up - integrating development, partnerships, regulatory navigation, and commercial structuring - to bring second-life energy storage solutions into scalable, real-world deployment.

A Pilot Project and a Long-Term Platform

Our initial objective is to develop a 20 MWh / 4-hour standalone, front-of-the-meter BESS pilot using EV-grade batteries.

Beyond this pilot, our broader vision is to build the capabilities, partnerships, and execution model needed to scale additional second-life energy storage projects across Israel and the wider region.

Why second-life matters

Second-life battery storage creates value on multiple fronts: it extends the useful life of EV batteries, reduces waste, supports a circular economy, lowers material intensity in selected use cases, and creates additional value before final recycling.

EV batteries are originally designed for robustness and durability, because they must meet strict automotive safety and performance requirements. That makes them well suited for a second life in energy storage applications where safety, performance, reliability, and commercial discipline matter.

NATAN Energy is focused on turning that potential into bankable, execution-oriented projects.

Environmental logic with project discipline

By extending the service life of EV batteries before final recycling, second-life storage can help reduce waste, unlock more value from existing battery materials, and support a more resource-efficient energy system.

For NATAN Energy, environmental impact is not a branding layer - it is part of the project logic.

Company Vision

Our vision is to build a leading, innovative, and diversified renewable energy company that creates meaningful value across the energy market in Israel and the Middle East. We aim to do this through the integration of energy storage, battery repurposing, next-generation batteries, solar and wind solutions, and advanced energy infrastructure.

We will begin our journey in the field of second-life batteries from electric vehicles - an intelligent and high-potential entry point - and use this domain as a springboard to expand across the broader energy value chain.

We are building a regional energy platform designed to identify opportunities early and connect technology, market needs, regulation, and financing - transforming them into viable, profitable commercial ventures.

Over time, we aim to become a significant player in:

  • Energy storage
  • New battery technologies
  • Battery repurposing and refurbishment
  • Solar and wind system deployment
  • Development and delivery of commercial-scale energy projects
  • Integrated energy solutions for customers, sites, and grids
  • Data centers and energy-integrated infrastructure campuses
  • Microgrids and advanced distributed energy systems

We do not seek to be solely a technology company or a project developer. Our ambition is to be a complete energy company - one that leads initiatives, develops infrastructure, builds strategic partnerships, and establishes a strong, lasting presence in the regional energy market.

In Loving Memory of Natan

Natan was a man who embraced life with an open heart and an unbreakable spirit. He found joy in the simple moments and meaning in every journey, whether close to home or across distant horizons. Adventure, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world guided him, and he lived each day with intention and gratitude.

Above all, Natan was a kind and generous soul. He was a devoted and loving father, a steady presence, and a source of warmth to everyone who knew him. He gave freely of himself - his time, his energy, and his compassion - always ready to help, support, and uplift others. Many lives were touched by his quiet acts of kindness and his genuine care for people.

Natan believed deeply in a better future. His vision was one of peace - across communities, across nations, and throughout the world. He dreamed of a reality where suffering is reduced, where understanding replaces division, and where people choose humanity first. This vision was not just an idea to him; it was a way of living.

Despite facing difficult circumstances, Natan continued to strive, to build, and to create. He achieved meaningful accomplishments and left a lasting mark through his determination and courage. His strength was not only in what he overcame, but in how he chose to do so - with dignity, hope, and compassion.

NATAN Energy carries forward his legacy.

The company stands as a reflection of who he was and what he believed in: goodness, light, generosity, and responsibility toward others. Every step we take is guided by his values - seeking to contribute, to give back, and to make a positive impact in the world.

We remember Natan not only for what he achieved, but for who he was - a person who lived fully, loved deeply, and believed in the possibility of a better world.

His light continues to guide us.
